The Fuera Ascent is made from Nikwax Windproof fabric and as such it’s designed to be used in conjunction with the company’s Nikwax Fleece and Nikwax Aftercare products (the latter to renew water repellency indefinitely).  The system works well and even on its own is a very user-friendly and great value jacket – of the numerous great features the helmet-compatible ergonomically designed hood is one of the best I’ve used, the pit zips are huge and give great venting and these and the zipped hand pockets are pack-, harness- and rope-friendly, making for a really well designed jacket at a very good price.
