| Our tester in the Alps put this on while skiing early in the season and is a convert. Ultra soft and very light, it utilises the Nikwax Analogy LIght fabric with less insulation than normal. Cut for active use, this has articulated shoulders and elbows, cropped front, drop tail and a high collar with single-hand adjustment and a giant pocket on the front. A new addition is the fixed roll away hood which was requested by adventure racers. Strictly speaking it's waterproof so therefore not a softshell. Otherwise it would have got Editor's Choice. |
