The Cascada has a lovely, relaxed, comfortable fit and the soft fabric feels more like another layer of clothing than a traditional waterproof. The body is long and the cut is generous, although drawcords at the hem and waist helped me get a good fit. the stiffened hood is outstanding - coupled with the high collar, you can really bury your face into it!

PERFORMANCE 9/10

Made of a soft polyester fabric permeated with water-repelling Nikwax, which works in a similar wat to the natural oils in animal fur, I found this system extremely waterproof and also highly breathable, so much so that I was able to wear this jacket all day long. If there's a downside, it's warmer and heavier than most.

VERDICT - 5 STARS

I love this jacket! A little pricey and heavy compared to others, but it offers tremendous versatility and breathability. the fabric technology is different to others, but well worth a try.
