Paramo Cascada Trouser - TGO MagazineThe Paramo Cascada Trousers recently won "BEST BUY" in "TRAIL PANTS" gear review in TGO (The Great Outdoors) Magazine. "Paramo trousers have the great advantage of being waterproof as well as windproof and very breathable so you don't need to carry or wear overtrousers. They can be reproofed, to , and last a very long time. The Cascadas are Paramo's lightest weight Directional Waterproof trousers and excellent for hillwalking and backpacking. The cut is roomy without being baggy and they have curved knees fot freedom of movement. The two layers of fabric make them quite warm - I've been quite comfortable in them in Cairngorm blizzards. They can be easily vented though via the two-way three-quarter length side zips. These are backed by a popper closed baffle so you can have the zips open for ventilation but the poppers closed so the legs don't flap and you still have some protection from sun and wind. Despite the side zips, I find these trousers too warm in summer and would only wear them between October and May. There are only two pockets but these are accesible when wearing a hipbelt. The Cascadas are available in different leg lengths, an excellent feature. The Medium Short fit me fine. Paramo says the Medium is a 32" Likes: WATERPROOF, BREATHABLE, SIDE ZIPS Dislikes: NOTHING |
