The Fuera Ascent is made from Nikwax Windproof fabric and as such it’s designed to be used in conjunction with the company’s  Nikwax Fleece and Nikwax aftercare products (the latter to renewwater repellency indefinitely).  This is a very user-friendly product – of the numerous excellent features the helmat-compatible ergonomically-designed hood is one of the best I’ve used, the pit zips are huge and give great venting and these and the zipped hand pockets are pack-, harness- and rope-friendly, making for a really well designed jacket at an extremely good price – in fact it’s £17 cheaper than it was last year!
