PÁRAMO LADIES HALCON JACKET – TGO RECOMMENDED

lshalcontgo_296  Páramo is my top choice for hillwalking in wet weather provided I’m wearing it, not carrying it, because I can guarantee Nikwax Analogy will move moisture and keep me dry.  Yes, it has arm vents, but because of the weight, bulk andwarmth I never use it in summer or backpack with it.  Halcon, relatively new to the range, is festooned with nine pockets – bellowed, zipped, flapped, inside, outside (one takes a map).  The cut allows plenty of room to layer without being baggy.  The hood is well-shaped and cinches in neatly.  The side shockcords stick out in loops but are tethered so can’t flick.  The two small complaints; when the zip’s up the collar stud presses on my mouth (there’s no brushed chinguard or collar lining) and the cuffs are bulky under the wrist, where the elastic and Velcro tab double up.  I will always have a Páramo garment, but I need a lighter, more versatile jacket too.
