The Women’s Paramo Alta III jacket is ideal for all walking activities to the highest level. It is waterproof and windproof.

Mountain walking involves exertion while moving, potentially being exposed to severe weather at height. To remain comfortable, you need efficient moisture control to prevent chilling, and ventilation options to reduce clothing changes.

The Alta III Jacket uses tough, directional Nikwax Analogy Waterproof fabric for excellent protection and moisture management.

The excellent venting options on the Women’s Paramo Alta III limit the need for adding or shedding layers. The easily accessible upper arm vents, two way front zip and adjustable sleeves that can be pushed up for cooling, make it easier to keep a comfortable temperature on the move.

  • Upper arm vents with mesh Pump Liner for temperature control on the move without water ingress.
  • Enhanced weather protection and increased comfort when carrying a rucksack provided by rapid-drying mesh Pump Liner reinforcement on shoulders and back.
  • Four pockets for essential equipment – Two rucksack-friendly handwarming pockets, large external map sized chest pocket with removable hook to attach compass/ GPS and a secure internal pocket.
  • Wide field of vision from precisely adjustable, wired-peak hood which stows in collar. Works well with goggles, spectacles or tied-back hair.
  • Shoulder and arm articulation gives maximum movement without jacket riding up.
  • Two-way locking front zip with poppered internal storm flap allows ventilation and access to inner layers.
  • Adjustable cuffs easily pushed up or rolled for cooling.
  • Waist cord adjustment for precise fit. Concealed cords and locks throughout improve water/ snow shedding.
  • Average weight 702g

An excellent replacement for my 16 year old Casada Jacket, which has finally been retired to act as a spare camping jacket. My original Casada and the new Alta III were both purchased from WW&D as they offer such excellent customer service and very competitive prices… they are such nice people to deal with!

A super lightweight but very warm waterproof jacket with lovely soft fabric

Lovely jacket, really comfortable to wear. Strong winds, heavy showers, no problem and smart enough to wear around town. Thanks to the helpful service of Whalley Warm and Dry I was able to wear this jacket whilst on holiday. I had ordered the medium which turned out to be too big. A phone call from me was all it took to explain I wanted a replacement urgently. When they realised they did not have the small in stock, they contacted paramo and had it sent direct to me by next day delivery. Great service!

Paramo stuff is often… warm (useful in winter/altitude/windy conditions, less so in warm weather. So far, it has been too warm to use the jacket much, so the jury is out about the sweating to come!

This jacket is very well made and is very comfortable, it fits well too. I haven’t had the opportunity to test it in extreme wet or cold weather yet, but so far so good.

Excellent service, great jacket. It’s keeping me beautifully warm and dry through some very bad weather. Thank you.

This is my third paramo jacket. I was pleased with the cut of this jacket but disappointed with the hood. It is much bigger than the hoods on my other jackets and it was not sufficiently adjustable to stop it falling right over my face. I have had to stitch back the hood to shorten it to enable a secure and waterproof fit around my face. I also miss the elasticated wrist. It is now just Velcro, difficult to fit and feels a bit cheapskate for what is an expensive walking coat.

Great customer service. Delighted with this jacket . Material is flexible but waterproof, sturdy and warm will last forever.
