About Us

Whalley Warm & Dry opened in December 2000 and since then has provided a continually expanding range of quality outdoor products from a wide range of brands; Paramo, Lowe Alpine, Falke, Brasher, Meindl, Altberg, Salomon, Scarpa, Teva, Merrell, Tilley Hats, Leki, Mountain King Trekking Poles, Pacerpoles, Noene shock-absorbing insoles , Nikwax, Bridgedale & 1000 mile socks and many others.

We are a family business, the shop was set up by Jon Smith, I (Liz) then joined (my dad) in 2003 and Katy (my sister) joined us in 2007. We all enjoy the outdoors and enjoy testing all the clothing and equipment we sell.

We are keen Paramo enthusiasts and won "Paramo Premier Retailer of the Year 2004 and 2007". We stock the full range of Paramo, with examples of all colour options. We are all Paramo wearers so if you want to know why, phone us, email us, or best of all visit us in Whalley.

 In 2009 we moved in to a second "boot room" where we take ten different measurements of your feet to enable us to assess your feet and find you the best possible fit for your feet. 

 The Shop is the converted Stables of the "White House" a Grade II listed building in Whalley, a beautiful village in the Ribble Valley. There is direct access to many interesting walks. We are very lucky to have a wide selection of Coffee Shops in the village including a 12th Century Abbey Ruins & Grounds, set next to the river.
