Smooth material and lining help make the jacket very comfortable to wear. The details are well designed – the hood fits well when up and when rolled away the collar lies flat around the neck and I like how the sleeves can be rolled up. Functional pockets and two way zip. An excellent traditional jacket – just what I wanted. The next size down from my usual one fits perfectly.

Eventually I found the right size but different jackets produced by paramo have very different sizing which makes it difficult when ordering on line. This jacket works out much bigger than some. The jacket itself is perfect.

This is my fourth Paramo jacket. I love the colour but I’m not thrilled with the insulation or the fit. Insulation-wise, Paramo claims it’s a 4/5 but it’s really not warm and doesn’t compare to my 8 year old Paramo Alondra-Jacket which is also 4/5. For example, I wore the Cascada last night over, a long sleeve t-shirt, cardigan and a fleece in 6°C . I was cold.
As with all my Paramo jackets, I bought a medium. With this one, I’ve found the adjustment cords for the waist are at hip level so I can’t really adjust it or it’s too tight over my hips. The overall effect is that I look a bit plump wearing it.
I do still love the colour however and I will try to work out how I can be more satisfied with it. Just slightly disappointed after reading all the reviews here.
