Love the jacket , warm ,waterproof and practical. I like the longer length and the many pockets, always useful for the items that you need ready access to and as such convenience dictates you don’t want to carry in your back pack. I have both this and the Alta and tend to alternate between the two. If I had to chose between them ,even for hikes I would chose the Pajaro.

Great jacket for foul-weather dog walking or non-scrambly hill walks,
and it’s also is tolerably cool in mild weather. I sized down from M to S based on the other reviews, the S is indeed fine for me despite on paper me just edging into M.
