Really happy with these boots. My feet are very wide in the forefoot and I have difficulty finding boots to fit without adjustment but these were spot on straight out of the box.

Superbly comfortable boot for those with a broad forefoot & narrow heel. I rang the lovely people at Whalley Warm & Dry for some advice. After years of wearing Zabmerlan Vioz boots, over the past 2 or so years they have become increasingly uncomfortable due to the enlargement of a family heirloom – a rather unsightly bunion! The lovely chap at Whalley’s was really helpful & recommended the Kisdon’s. Absolutely perfect, straight out of the box. 100% recommend the boot & especially recommend the help & expertise of the people at Whalley’s. Superheroes every last one! Many, many thanks!!

Really comfy straight out of the box! I have very wide for-foot and skinny ankles – these boots are great – give me enough space to wiggle my toes yet supportive grip around the ankle. I’ve been looking for boots like these for a long time! Speedy delivery too!

I have waited 2 years to give this review. I bought a pair of Alt-Berg Kisdon from Whalley Warm and Dry and I have to say there are excellent. I am a full time professional mountain leader, so I wear my boots more than most folk will and so I need them to just work how they are meant to and these do. Not going to go into all the technical “stuff” but these are a bit battered now (still waterproof though) so I have just made another appointment to get another pair of the same boots and you can’t say better than that.
There is always a downside. The laces that come with the boots simply aren’t long enough to do up without box-tying so you’ll need to get a longer pair of laces when you get the boots or they’ll keep coming undone.
So, boots top rated except for the laces.

Had these about 12 months now. Uppers are excellent – tough, comfortable, supportive , waterproof.
I’m less impressed with the soles. Poor wet grip – I’ve had a couple of falls on terrain where I know my old Scarpas would have coped.

Bought the Kisdons at Xmas and have just finished the Cumbria Way in completely dry comfort. I had my feet measured and discovered I was both bigger and wider than I thought and have never been more comfortable on the mountain. Really durable boots that are breaking in wonderfully.
